Your yoke is growing, really it is. Small needles and (?) garter stitch just takes forever (as I have found in my latest project..... almost as long as an I-cord edging.... The yoke does tend to feel pretty endless. It helped that I knit mine in stockinette because it went a little faster...but I'm hearing you on the wish that we could be one of those people who says, "I've got 3 skeins of yarn--I think I'll knit myself a sweater!" The baby patterns book looks familiar...I might have one like it that was tossed in for free for some purchases I made at Little Knits. I couldn't believe it when she picked up this heavy book and just added it to my bag. :-) I think it looks bigger. The yoke does tend to feel pretty endless.
